Mama

My darling girl is FINALLY saying Mama. Well, not really. It's more like MAAAAAma! She only says it, actually YELLS it, when she's mad or upset. She will storm around downstairs looking for me while yelling for me. She did say mom a few times tonight while nursing. It was sweet.

She is such a climber. I never thought my girl would be more of a monkey than Jacob. Yesterday, she climbed the slide in the backyard all the way up to the top. She was about one foot from the top but couldn't quite get over that first hump. Crazy girl! She has just "discovered" the backyard this past week or so. She used to hang out on the patio but now she roams the yard. She had her first dog poop encounter today too.

Jacob has a super cool new train set. He loves it! Thank goodness for grandparents! It's really cool. You can put it together all different ways and it has 4 engines and each one has it's one remote control!

Potty training is going well too. He wears undies all day and diapers at night (he takes off pull-ups for some reason). He is usually a tiny bit wet in the mornings so I haven't tried undies at night. This pic was last Sunday after church-he wore his undies to church and did great! We are still struggling with poop. He can go in the potty and usually does when we bribe him to but he won't go on his own. Any and all suggestions welcome! Going "out" in undies totally freaks me out. I guess we'll have to take that as it comes.

My beautiful princess. She is really developing a personality! Sh'es such a doll-baby!

Book Worm

Jacob has always loved books. When he was little, I was never sure if he REALLY knew his colors, shapes, etc or if he just had the pages memorizes.

Nearly every time we see my mom, she has a few new books for Jacob. He has 2 bookshelves, both with 2 shelves FULL of books. I have no idea how many he has but it's a lot AND he has every one of them memorized. This is him reciting a book that mom brought over Monday. He had it memorized by Tuesday! I think we have read it at least 50 times this week!

JUMP!

Jenna does EVERYTHING her brother does. She can climb up the slide, jump on the trampoline, "read" books, stick her finger up her nose, you name it. She is now a speed walker. Seriously. Like the Olympic sport. And a climber. And all that practice on the trampoline has taught her how to jump. Like, as in on the ground. She'll squat down and jump up with both feet!

JenJen loves to give zerberts still. Jacob prefers Eskimo kisses. They are quite a pair. I'm amazed at how well they play together and how much they love each other. You should see Jenna kiss Jacob before bed every night. It's great!

My little man is becoming such a big boy! His potty training is going well! I can't believe I just said that! I never thought it would happen!

The first few days went well, then we had a few days that weren't so good, but this week has been great. Just a few small accidents here and there. He's still learning that "feeling." He loves to wear undies, especially the Spidey ones Mimi sent.

Me and Jacob had fun playing in the rain today while Jenna napped. When the rain slowed down, we got out the water hose! Then it started raining again. Our yard was very, very well watered.
